Jennifer Dockstader, Executive Director Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre, called on Canadians to take care of their neighbours because every living thing matters.
She said that Indigenous language and culture are critical.
The Executive Director acknowledged the contribution of the Fort Erie Aboriginal Head Start program, which is the only of its kind in the region.
She called on the federal government to assist the program noting there has not been a raise in Aboriginal Head Start in 20 years.
