St. Catharines, ON
A shooting incident took place in St. Catharines in the afternoon, close to the downtown in an area residents described as rough.
The incident resulted in closures of major roads while Niagara Regional Police Service, NRPS, canvassed the area for suspects.
The caution tapes have since been removed and the area of search has been opened up for vehicular traffic and pedestrians.
The police noted there is a search for the suspects involved in the shooting.
