The Solar Eclipse makes us all feel very humbled, says Richard West of the Royal Astronomy of Canada – Niagara Centre.
He was part of the team from the Royal Astronomy of Canada – Niagara Centre who attended to the public at the Joseph McCaffery Park in St. Catharines.
By the time the partial eclipse was witnessed, about 600 residents had converged on the park to witness the historic occasion.
Residents lined up and took turns to peer through telescopes of different shapes and sizes covered with filters to prevent eye damage.
