“This is a historic time and we have a beautiful country,” says Sal Sorrento, Councillor for St. George’s ward in his Canada 150 birthday greeting.
“Many people from many nations have helped to build this country.
“We do not say enough the good things that take place in Canada.
“It is the greatest country in the world.”
He considered it an honour to serve at the municipal level and wished Canada a Happy 150th Anniversary.
Sal Sorrento was a past president of the board of Niagara Folk Arts Multicultural Centre.
Despite his busy duties and responsibilities as a municipal councillor, he still finds the time to lend his support to various cultural associations in the Niagara region.
