Gang violence in some Canadian cities is becoming part of the political campaign for the September 20 federal election.

Erin O’Toole, Leader of the Conservative Party was in Montreal today to release his plan to tackle gang and gun violence and make communities safer.

“Even during a pandemic, crime doesn’t take a break. Gun and gang violence has been on the rise in communities across the country, terrorizing families and communities,” said O’Toole.

He noted that the Liberal Party under Justin Trudeau tried to make criminals out of farmers, hunters, and law-abiding firearms owners.”

He promised the Conservative Party would focus on cracking down on gang violence and keeping guns out of the hands of criminals.

The plan to deal with gun and gang violence is part of Canada’s Recovery Plan of the Conservative Party.
