Niagara 2022 torchbearers finished the Torch Relay this afternoon in St. Catharines.
The bearers of the Roly McLenahan Torch were welcomed with applause as they crossed the finish line at the parking lot of Canadian Tire, Fourth Avenue.
Watler Sendzik – Mayor of St. Catharines, Jim Bradley – Chair Niagara Region, Jennie Stevens, Member of Provincial Parliament for St. Catharines, local leaders of business as well as municipal councilors witnessed the finish of the Torch Relay.
The Games are from August 6th to 21st 2022. More than 5,000 athletes and their coaches are expected to participate in the event.
